Seafood Source According to 2001 figures, Myanmar's fishing fleets consist of about 26,000 small fishing boats and 1,900 offshore fishing vessels. Many of the small fishing boats that were out at sea when the cyclone hit have not been found. Many of those docked at the ports sank, along with the destruction of the port infrastructure.

U.S. Department of Energy A new report (available on the Reports section of this website) released by the DOE examines the technical feasibility of harnessing wind power to provide up to 20% of the nation’s total electricity needs by 2030. The report shows that wind energy could reduce carbon emissions by 825 million tons per year by 2025.
